NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY

• The NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY (NGOCSD-NY) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, particularly those involved in environmental and social change.
• In 2024, Howell Conservation Fund (HCF) provided NGOCSD-NY with a Catalytic Grant that supported NGOCSD-NY’s 2024 programming, including hosting multiple meetings with global changemakers, innovators, and government officials.

Promoting the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires coordinated efforts across various sectors. Hosting meaningful events and maintaining ongoing initiatives requires funding and strategic partnerships to ensure long-term success and impact. HCF’s support of NGOCSD-NY aligns with its mission to catalyze environmental and social change through strategic partnerships. The Catalytic Grant made in June 2024 has been pivotal in supporting NGOCSD-NY’s efforts, including:

• Assisting with hybrid meeting expenses, notably the annual observance of UN World Oceans Day/Month Celebration, where Brett Howell presented on behalf of HCF.
• Contributing to website maintenance and general operating costs, ensuring NGOCSD-NY’s ongoing capacity to host and promote UN SDG-related initiatives.
• Facilitating key introductions between HCF and global leaders in the NGO, policy, and conservation communities, enhancing collaboration opportunities to further HCF’s mission.
